Ridge Meadows Flames defeat Wolf Pack

The Ridge Meadows Flames improved their record to 13 wins and one loss after a 7-3 victory over the North Vancouver Wolf Pack on Friday, October 25.

The Flames, last year’s Pacific Junior Hockey League champions, led the game 2-1 after the first period, then their power play punished the Wolf Pack for three goals on five penalties to take control of the game.

The red-hot Zack Lagrange had five points, including a hat trick, and was named first star of the game, while Nolan Bowsher had two goals and Samuel Allen had a goal and an assist.

Lagrange now has 19 goals and 37 points in 14 games to lead the PJHL in scoring. He has 15 points in his last five games and is setting the tone to easily improve on his career-best mark of 48 points in 35 games last year.

It was another dominant performance, as Ridge topped North Van 46-20.

They are second in the Harold Brittain Conference, as the Chilliwack Jets also have just one loss, with 15 wins.

The Flames will next face the Surrey Knights (4-13-1-0) on Thursday, October 31 in a Halloween game at the North Surrey Ice and Sports Complex.

Their next home game is the following evening, Friday, November 1, when they host the tough Delta Ice Hawks (13-5) at Cam Neely Arena. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
