(CNN) – Jamie Foxx is ready to talk about the medical emergency that left him fighting for his life last year and has had the Internet buzzing with rumors ever since.

The actor previously revealed that he would tell the world what happened to him, but in a funny way and now, that’s exactly what he’s doing.

His upcoming stand-up special titled “What Had Happened Was…” will premiere on Netflix next month.

It was recorded when Foxx performed the show in Atlanta last month. This is where he was filming when he was hospitalized for a serious medical complication in April 2023.

The official cause of the emergency has not been revealed, but Foxx hinted at the seriousness of his condition.

“What Had Happened Was…” will premiere on Netflix on December 10.
