People asked for forgiveness, including the RFMF, but the truth is not revealed – Seruiratu

Through the truth and reconciliation process regarding the coups and mutinies in Fiji, people have asked for forgiveness, but what haunts them is that they have not revealed the truth.

Opposition Leader Inia Seruiratu highlighted the point during the Fiji Village Straight Talk with Vijay Narayan and said people must come forward with the truth so a new direction can be set for Fiji.

Seruiratu says the Republic of Fiji military forces have done a lot of reconciliation and he challenged the team to tell the truth.

He says let’s do truth and reconciliation properly because we have to put an end to this.

When asked about those who say to forget it and move on, Seruiratu replies that people are all different.

He says some have chosen to forget the past, but unfortunately some still feel offended and hurt.

When asked if he thought former FijiFirst leader and Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama would be willing to come forward and also participate in the process, Seruiratu said it was an issue he had also raised and that the Law Reform Commission had the power to summon anyone who wished to do so. can participate in the process.
