A Dhaka court has ordered freezing of nine bank accounts belonging to former interior minister Asaduzzaman Khan, amounting to around Tk 12.11 crore.

Justice Md Zakir Hossain of the Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Court passed the order on Monday (November 4) following a plea by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), court sources said on Tuesday.

Of the accounts, three were opened with Union Bank PLC and City Bank PLC respectively, while one was opened with Janata Bank PLC, Shimanto Bank PLC and Sonali Bank PLC each.
