A 2000 episode of “The Simpsons” bizarrely predicted the 2024 American electoral map.

Republican Donald Trump prevailed against Democrat Kamala Harris in the race for the presidency of the United States after a landslide vote on November 5, and fans of the animated sitcom series, known for predicting history well in advance, have once again hit the nail on the head 24 years in advance.

In the episode, a television presenter stood in front of a map of the United States depicting the states declared in Lisa Simpson’s favor and the results for her male rival.

And it looked an awful lot like a map showing votes cast for Democrats and Republicans.

The same episode started going viral on social media when Kamala Harris became the first female vice president of the United States, as she wore a purple suit, pearl necklace and earrings like those of Lisa at his and former President Joe Biden’s inauguration in 2021.

The episode’s writer, Dan Greaney, previously called it a “warning to America.”

He told The Hollywood Reporter in 2016: “It seemed like the last logical step before we hit rock bottom. This was proposed because it was consistent with the vision of America going mad. »

Additionally, a 2015 mini-episode, “Trumptastic Voyage”, saw Homer Simpson walk past a sign reading: “Trump 2012, Trump 2016, then Trump 2020 and finally Trump 2024”.

The “Simpsons” also seemed to predict the coronavirus pandemic and the Titanic sub-disaster.
