    US stocks set to extend Trump rally. The Fed is now in the hot seat.

    Will the Federal Reserve throw cold water on the rally? This is the question that arises after the historic gains of the American stock market following Donald Trump’s victory in the presidential election.

    The Fed’s monetary policy meeting ends on Thursday and while there is no doubt about its decision, the market will be watching closely to see if the central bank introduces any note of caution into its rate cut plans following Trump’s victory.

    Dow Jones Industrial Average futures rose 93 points, or 0.2%. S&P 500 futures also climbed 0.2% and Nasdaq 100 futures rose 0.3%.
