Best college football prop bets for Rice vs. Memphis in Week 11

Rice looks to continue its late-season progress to finish the regular season against a spiraling Memphis team.

With the two teams moving in opposite directions, can we make money in the player accessories market? I’m looking at Rice running back Dean Conners as a way to support the team’s defense in a potentially good matchup against a struggling Memphis offense.

Dean Conners OVER 56.5 rushing yards

The Rice offense has been emerging as of late, and Conners continues to be a very promising candidate to back up.

Although he had some difficulty reaching that mark, he proved he could exceed expectations by rushing for over 100 yards in three games this season. Overall, he averaged nearly six yards per carry during the season.

The Owls will look to play away from an explosive Memphis offense with its challenging pace and ability to move the chains. The Tigers’ defensive line is solid, but tends to allow big gains down the field, outside the top 100 in explosive rush rate.

Sure, there may be a few carries for little to no yards, but Rice’s offense continues to improve as the season goes on, and I think that’s the best way to capture it.

Seth Henigan LESS THAN 273.5 passing yards

The Memphis quarterback has incredibly high potential, evident in last week’s 454-yard outing against UTSA in a loss. However, against a Rice offense that plays at a sub-30 pace in terms of seconds per play, I think we can see limited possessions for the Tigers and a capped ceiling.

The Tigers could also be behind wide receiver Demeer Blankumsee, limiting the ability to take on a strong Rice pass defense that ranks in the top 30 in EPA/Play.

Henigan has exceeded this mark in five of nine games this season, which is a fairly average result for him.

However, given some of the factors laid out in this one, I think we see him falling below the total.
