Local vendors and attendees enjoy a festive weekend at the Holiday Market

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – The tag has started, it’s inaugural Christmas market Saturday morning with more than 50 local vendors.

Along with craft workshops, Christmas drinks and plenty of vendors displaying a range of items, the event has plenty to get everyone in the holiday spirit.

The Beacon’s events manager Sasha Conrade said events like these provide an opportunity for the community to support local businesses and for local businesses to gain exposure by displaying their unique work.

“I love seeing people respond to the artwork they create in the community. These aren’t just things that people buy at the big box stores, these are things that people put their hearts into and then people can take them into their homes and love them – that’s what I love. enjoy seeing,” Conrade said. “Take a business card. , take it home, share it with your friends and on social media so it’s not just the 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. showcase that these artists get, but it’s like a lifetime commitment to their business.

The event will take place on Saturday, November 9 and Sunday, November 10 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Beacon.
