A pedestrian was sent to hospital with serious injuries after a collision in Brampton Tuesday evening, police said.

Peel Regional Police say they were called to the area of ​​Steeles Avenue and Resolution Drive shortly after 6:15 p.m. for a single motor vehicle collision.

Paramedics confirmed to CP24 that they had taken a pedestrian whose life was in danger to the hospital.

Officers said the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and urged drivers to take alternate routes as roads remain closed for their investigation.
