Mike Tyson announced his upcoming fight with Jake Paul ahead of Friday’s event at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

“It’s the biggest fight in the history of life. There’s never been a fight this big,” Tyson told TMZ Sports on Tuesday.

When asked for a round prediction, Tyson replied, “Well, I’m not a psychic, but he’s going to sleep.”

The upcoming fight will mark Tyson’s first professionally sanctioned fight since 2005.

Tyson, 58, is a former world heavyweight champion who enters the fight with a record of 50-6 (44 KOs.) He most recently saw action in 2020 with an exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr .

Paul, a 27-year-old former YouTuber who began his professional boxing career in 2018, enters the fight with a 10-1 record (seven knockouts). He has won four straight fights, most recently scoring a sixth-round TKO victory over Mike Perry in July.

The two were originally scheduled to meet in July before the fight was delayed after Tyson suffered an ulcer flare-up.

“Forget it, I’m fine now… nothing’s going to stop me from beating Jake Paul,” Tyson said when asked by TMZ Sports about his past health issues.

Tyson confirmed he lost about 20 pounds due to his health issue, but said he had “got it all back.”

Netflix previewed the upcoming fight with Countdown: Paul vs. Tysona documentary series detailing Paul and Tyson’s training for the fight.

The event, scheduled to take place Friday at 8 p.m. ET, will be streamed on Netflix. Rounding out the fight card are Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano for the women’s welterweight title, Mario “El Azteca” Barrios vs. Abel Ramos for the welterweight title and Neeraj Goyat vs. Whindersson Nunes in a super middleweight bout.
