We’re now 17 games into the season, but this was without a doubt the worst performance the Toronto Maple Leafs have put up under Craig Berube, stumbling to a 3-0 loss to the Toronto Senators. Ottawa.

Josh Norris scored 41 seconds into the game, Tim Stutzle and Michael Amadio added insurance goals for the Senators, while the Maple Leafs’ offense, particularly at 5-on-5, completely dried up. Toronto allowed a season-worst 40 shots on goal and was shut out for the second time this season.

“We really got away from our game,” Maple Leafs forward John Tavares said after the game. “I think they definitely had some legs early on, our legs weren’t great.
