Expect a colder Wednesday in Virginia before rain on Thursday

RICHMOND, Va. — Today will be mostly sunny and fairly cool with high temperatures in the 50s.

Clouds will increase tonight. Lows will range from the mid 30s to lower 40s.

Our next storm system will spread rain across the region on Thursday, with the metro becoming rainy around midday. There will be periods of rain the rest of the day, and it will be heavy at times.
Highs will be in the upper 50s.

Most places will receive between a half inch and an inch of rain by Thursday evening.

A few showers will fall around Friday morning, and others in the afternoon.

Saturday will be sunny with highs in the 60s. Temperatures for the Richmond Marathon will be between 40 and 70 degrees at 7 a.m. and around 60 degrees at noon.

Dry weather is expected from Sunday to Tuesday. Highs will be in the 60s, lows in the 30s and 40s.
