Many of us live surrounded by screens. If you find yourself in the same environment, you will surely understand the inconvenience of receiving every notification on multiple devices. Seriously, my multiple devices start pinging every time I receive an email, IM, alert, or other notification. Then I have to clear all these notifications on all gadgets, individually. If you want to avoid duplicate notifications on Android, Google has integrated a very useful new feature exclusive to Pixel devices.

There is now an option to “Skip notifications on Pixel devices” in Settings. When enabled, notifications you cleared on one Pixel phone will also disappear on others. It’s one of those modest additions, but much appreciated by many of us. This will help us stay sane!

Requirements and supported devices

There are a few requirements to keep in mind here, as not everyone will be able to take advantage of this new option to “dismiss notifications on Pixel devices”. Let’s review them:

• You can only turn off duplicate notifications on Android for Pixel phones and tablets.
• The feature was introduced with Android 15so your device must be running this software version or a newer version.
• Both devices must use the same Google account.

How to Disable Duplicate Notifications on Pixel Devices

If you use multiple Pixel phones or tablets, here are the steps to turn off duplicate notifications on Android:

1. On your Pixel phone or tablet, launch the Settings application.
2. Enter Notifications.
3. Under the Sync across devices section, press Ignore notifications on Pixel devices.
4. Enable Skip on this device.
5. Hit Go.
6. Enable Allow access to notifications.
7. Press Allow.
8. Return to Ignore notifications on Pixel devices choice.
9. Tap the Google account you want to sync.
10. Repeat the same process on other Pixel devices.

If you want to enable duplicate notifications on Android, follow the same steps and disable Skip on this device.
