Fear grips NDC as Ejura residents joyfully lend support to Bawumia | Policy

NPP presidential candidate, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, was welcomed by a huge crowd in Ejura on Wednesday during his tour of the Ejura-Sekyedumase constituency.

Although in the Ashanti region, the Ejura-Sekyedumase constituency is one of the constituencies that the NDC has dominated over the years, the NPP nevertheless expresses its determination to wrest the seat from the NDC in the December 7 parliamentary elections.

Observing the euphoric voter reactions to Dr. Bawumia, manifested in the outpouring of residents in support of him, sends positive signals that the NPP will give its opponents, mainly the NDC, a run for their money.

The NDC traditionally receives strong support from the large Zongo and Muslim communities in Ejura, but this time these sections of the community came in large numbers to meet Dr Bawumia at his community rally.

Through their actions, traditional rulers, imams and chiefs of the Zongo areas in particular, as well as the clergy of the community, have all demonstrated that they fully support Dr. Bawumia’s candidacy for the presidency of Ghana in 2025.

During the community connect, the clergy offered prayers for the Vice President before the Zongo delegation and commended Dr. Bawumia for his immense support to the Zongos and Ejurama.

The biggest boost for Dr. Bawumia and the NPP parliamentary candidate was when the Ejura Traditional Council led by Barima Osei Hwediem II declared its unwavering support for him, highlighting the government’s many development projects for the community and the entire nation.

Support for Dr. Bawumia to lead Ghana was even more evident when a group of young men and women, many of them considered NDC converts, expressed their eagerness to vote for him on December 7.

It was therefore evident that the choice of Dr. Bawumia as the flag bearer of the NPP had a significant impact in Ejura and its environs, sending shivers down the spines of the opposition NDC.
