Warzone devs commit to fixing biggest problem with Black Ops 6 integration

Among the many issues encountered on Warzone’s launch day, audio fixes were at the top of most players’ wish lists. Raven Software has heard the complaints loud and clear.

Warzone’s launch day saw a few bugs and exploits, but nothing too alarming. Players have discovered that the AEK-973 ground loot weapon has transformed into a fully automatic destruction weapon instead of the intended three-shot blast.

Additionally, a black screen prevented players from accessing the Battle Royale, Buy Stations charged incorrect prices, and the Ghost Perk was locked for some users.

Fortunately, Raven Software took action and released a update to resolve these issues just a day after launch. Most of the initial bugs from Warzone’s launch were quickly fixed. However, no issue has attracted more criticism than that of inability to hear enemy footstepsa slightly more difficult problem to solve.

Warzone developers replied“We are investigating reports of audio issues in Warzone, including concerns regarding the sound of footsteps. We will share any updates as they become available.

While the investigation takes place, players can still take matters into their own hands and use the best audio settings to locate enemies more easily.

For example, Black Ops 6 introduced the Head-Linked Transfer feature, which creates a personalized audio mix based on the shape of your head and ears. Although there is a free version, some community members have appealed to the development team to charging $20 for custom profiles.

Naturally, players don’t want to spend money to be able to hear their enemies. And there are only so many ways players can change their settings to make a tangible difference.

Given the current sense of turmoil around gaming, this investigation comes at a much-needed time. Treyarch angered community members by adding XP tokens from MW2 and MW3 to BO6 multiplayer, only to remove them a day later.

Community members described this act as slap and look forward to addressing any further gaps. Suffice it to say that if this audio update does not meet expectations, tensions will only increase.

If you want to check how the update is going, you can check the progress of the investigation on Warzone Trello Board.
