Kenyan woman discovers her sister pregnant with her husband’s child: “I forgive her”

A Kenyan woman has narrated how her husband brought his sister to their house and ended up ruining their marriage.

Ruth Wangariu had just given birth by cesarean section and needed someone to help take care of her and her baby.

The ideal person would have been his mother, but they argued because his mother would not allow him to name the child after her, in accordance with Agikuyu culture.

“My mother said she wouldn’t allow me to name my first daughter after her just because my baby was born by C-section,” she said.

Wangariu’s husband, a pastortold him not to worry and promised to find him help. To his surprise, he came home one day with his older sister.

“My husband told me not to look for someone to help me with the housework. He said he would find me someone himself. I felt safe when I saw my sister because I thought she would understand me and we would get along well,” she explained.

However, she later noticed that the older sister was reluctant to return to her husband after he recovered and could do the household chores herself.

“My sister is married, so every time her husband called her, she used me as an excuse, saying I still needed his help,” she said.

She later realized that her older sister did not want to return home because she was having an affair with the pastor.

“I was outside the house doing laundry and noticed I had forgotten something inside. Opening the door, I found them both red-handed on my matrimonial bed,” Wangariu said.

Ruth Wangariu discovers that her sister is pregnant by her husband

When she discovered that her sister was having an affair with her husband, the pastor’s wife did not divorce him and chose to stay.

She remembers finding out about her sister’s pregnancy through hospital documents left on her bed.

However, she assumed that it was not her husband’s child.

“When I told them about my infidelity, they both just ignored it and told me I wasn’t enough. I am 6 months pregnant and my sister is 8 months pregnant with my husband,” revealed.

Wangariu left her home in August 2024 and moved elsewhere with her 3-year-old firstborn, living in a deplorable environment.

The middle-aged woman said she had forgiven her sister but would never forgive the father of her child.

“I am disappointed in my sister; I didn’t expect her to do that to me. Second, I forgive him; I have no hard feelings. I will never forgive my husband,” she said.
