Boxing fan sues Netflix for constant buffering during Jake Paul-Mike Tyson fight

On Friday, boxing fans from diehard to casual watched ex-YouTuber Jake Paul fight 58-year-old former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson in Arlington, Texas.

Many, however, found themselves blocked by buffering on Netflix stream. The streaming giant, which has a eventful history live productions – received so much criticism over it that one fan decided to take action.

Ronald “Blue” Denton of Hillsborough County, Florida, is suing Netflix in state court, accusing the company of “alleged breach of contract and unfair and deceptive actions.” by Rachel Tucker from WFLA-TV in Tampa.

The lawsuit seeks monetary damages, as well as class-action status.

“60 million Americans couldn’t wait to see “Iron” Mike Tyson, “The Baddest Man on the Planet” against Jake Paul, the YouTuber-turned-winner. What they saw was “the nastiest streaming on the planet,” the lawsuit states.

Paul defeated Tyson by unanimous decision to bring his career record to 11-1.
