Square Enix has no Intergrade DLC plans for FF7 Rebirth

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is already a massive game, but some may be wondering if DLC is on the way for the open-world RPG. According to The rebirth director Naoki Hamaguchi, the answer is no, as the team is focused on wrapping up the third part of the film. FF7 Redo the trilogy.

Released earlier this year, FF7 Rebirth is the second part of Square Enix’s big remake of the original game from the 90s Final Fantasy 7. The second part of the remake was much bigger than the first FF7 Remakeand released in 2020offering a huge open world with several areas to explore and numerous side quests to complete. However, some players wonder if Renaissance would get any story based DLC similar to FF7 Remake Intergrade episode featuring Yuffie. Well, bad news for fans who want Renaissance DLC.

In a new interview with Star of the dayHamaguchi was asked if the developers had heard from fans talking about wanting DLC. RenaissanceThe director confirmed that Square Enix was “definitely” hearing this “fan desire”, but suggested that what people really want is the next game and not a downloadable episode.

“I totally understand that, but I think from my perspective what fans really want to see the most is not necessarily DLC. They want to see the third part of the series as quickly as possible,” Hamaguchi said.

The director further explained, “We are really putting all our efforts into releasing the third game as quickly as possible. So for now, that’s where we’re focusing our time.

Beyond the third chapter of the remake trilogy, Hamaguchi told the media he might be willing to do more spin-offs of other games focusing on different characters seen in the FF7.

“I want it (Remake Chapter 3) to get out as quickly as possible and then maybe move on to other stories, dig a little deeper,” Hamaguchi said.

“There’s definitely a call to see other spotlights on other parts of the world and universe, different characters, so I might like to look at them in a different way after the third game comes out »

For now, however, the focus is entirely on making the third and final game of the FF7 redo the trilogy as quickly as possible. So place your bets on when we’ll get our hands on the RPG. I’m thinking about 2027.
