Maharashtrian celebrity chef Sarvesh Jadhav has been making a special pizza for years and selling it for just Re 1.

While many people around the world enjoy eating pizza, some love it but can’t afford it too often. A similar incident completely changed the life of this chef from Pune. While walking along the road, he witnessed a scene that deeply inspired him and eventually led him to create a world record.

Sarvesh made the world’s smallest pizzas, known as ‘Button Pizzas’, producing over 8 lakh, earning him a place in the Limca Book of World Records. Remarkably, the price of each button pizza is only Re 1.

The specialty of Rika Café

Sarvesh Jadhav runs a cafe called Rika in Pune, where he created the world’s smallest pizza, measuring barely an inch. Since 2017, its button pizzas have been very popular. To date, he has produced over 8 lakh of these little delights.

Speaking to Local18, Sarvesh shared, “While returning home, I saw two underprivileged children eating at Goodluck Chowk. They had a hamburger and a half slice of pizza. I asked them when they would eat pizza again and they said, “If someone gives it to us, we will eat it.” Their words moved me deeply. I said to myself: If these kids want to eat pizza again, I have to make it affordable.”

“Everyone can afford to spend Re 1. That’s when I came up with the idea of ​​button pizza and priced it at just Re 1,” he said. -he added.

The button pizza was specially created to please underprivileged children. Although making such small pizzas is a challenge, Sarvesh is extremely proud of the joy it brings to his customers.

“This initiative not only satisfied the hunger of underprivileged children, but also allowed them to eat with dignity and self-respect,” he says.
