Man seriously injured in collision involving truck and car

A man was seriously injured following a collision involving a truck and a car on Tuesday.

Emergency services were called to the A915 Standing Stane Road in Fife at around 8.15pm.

A 53-year-old man was taken to Victoria Hospital for treatment. His injuries were described as serious.

Officers closed the road until 12:10 a.m. Wednesday. An investigation aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the collision is still underway.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “At around 8.15pm on Tuesday 17 December 2024, we received a report of an accident involving a HGV and a car on the A915 Standing Stane Road.

“Emergency services responded and a 53-year-old man was taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy to be treated for what were described as serious injuries.

“Investigations are underway to establish all the circumstances.

“The road was closed and then reopened at around 12:10 a.m. on Wednesday December 18, 2024.”
