Even Payal Kapadia, the film’s director, recently remarked that she found it interesting that American viewers liked her film. Ask Kadam what she thinks connects with an audience abroad, and she says, “Everything we imagine… ki kahaani har kisi ko apni lagti hai. Everyone is connected to Mumbai from somehow. I was giving an interview with Payal the other day, and she said something that really stuck with me. She said, “Mumbai mein bus ka travel bhi har kisi ke liye. alag hota hai-jaise pyaar mein padhe huye logon ke. liye alag’… I realized that it’s so true It’s not necessary for someone to be in love with anyone for this bus trip. .At least someone you are related to has a connection in Mumbai country too. They are connected to this emotion: that the same thing can mean different things to different people.

Kadam goes on to add, “I have been working for so many years now, par iss film se main itna kama rahi hoon as an actor and a person… it has brought so many things, like Obama, I love it. Dishonor mujhe dekha film mein, perhaps voh mera naam bhi jaante honge! »
