An 11-year-old girl is in critical condition after being struck by a Mi-Way bus outside a Mississauga school, according to Peel paramedics.

The incident occurred at Lisgar Collegenear the area of ​​Ninth Line and Derry Road.

Paramedics told CTV News Toronto the girl was taken to a local hospital but is being transferred to the Hospital for Sick Children.

Footage from the scene shows police surrounding a Mi-Way bus. The circumstances leading to the collision are not immediately known.
