Manitoba Weather: Cloudy skies and cool temperatures across the province

A cloudy Wednesday sets in across Manitoba.

Much of the province can expect overcast skies, light winds and highs in the south between 5 and 10%.

Southern Manitoba could now see periods of light throughout the day, while flakes could also fly into the northwest intermittently throughout the day.

Cooler temperatures are expected in the west of the province, with maximum temperatures of around -10°C forecast across much of the region.

Periods of light snow are expected in the south from midnight, while flurries are expected in the north.

Temperatures in this area will drop to minus 10 degrees overnight, with the wind chill making it feel a few degrees cooler.

Similar lows are expected overnight in southern Manitoba, but the wind chill will not be as bitter.

Thursday will bring more periods of light snow to Winnipeg and surrounding areas, while the west can expect a mix of sun and clouds.

Winds will be strong throughout the south, increasing from the northwest to 30 km/h, with gusts at times up to 50 km/h.
