Saskatoon police are warning the public about drug trafficking in the city after two people died from suspected cocaine overdoses.

Police say they are investigating an incident involving two deaths and are warning the public about “potentially deadly cocaine” in Saskatoon, according to a news release issued Friday evening.

The Saskatoon Police Service is urging the public to be aware of the symptoms of an overdose and the Good Samaritan Overdose Relief Act, “which serves to provide some legal protection to people who experience or witness overdoses.” overdose and are seeking emergency help,” the statement said.

Some symptoms of an overdose include slow or no breathing; gurgling, panting, or snoring; moist and cool skin; blue lips or nails; and difficulty waking up or staying awake. Anyone who suspects an overdose should call 911 immediately.
